It's notorious for hosting the stunning Acadia National Park.

But outside of the park Mt. Desert Island has a stunning landscape and lifestyle all to it's own that often gets lumped all together with the park.

This image was captured late morning at Northeast Harbor just below the gorgeous Asticou Inn.
